Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Mei Xingguo incumbent of Military Medical Sciences, Institute of Pharmacy Research Director, China innovative formulations Industry Alliance chairman, vice chairman of the World Professional Committee DDS United drugs, "International Journal of Pharmacy" and many other medical Journal editorial board 13 positions, MD, Professor, expert pharmaceutical preparations. Mainly engaged in research and innovation agents: particulate vector delivery systems (liposomes, nanoparticles, microspheres, microcapsules, microemulsion); oral timing, positioning, controlled release formulations, transdermal administration preparations. Chemical modification of the drug: prodrug design and targeted delivery modification. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology: biotech drugs recombinant biosynthetic pathway studies. It has 25 applications for invention patents, 19 patents granted; published more than 120 papers (SCI included 15 cumulative impact factor 37, the highest single chapter 7.6) were accepted number four new drugs, new drug approvals is eligible five (preparation points question 4), production of documents 3; edited two monographs, edited a book in English. The past five years, Professor Mei Xingguo get major new drug formulation of new technology unit platform (the "Eleventh Five-Year", "five" continuous support), the National Natural Science Foundation of four, Beijing Natural Science Foundation 2, research alliances a collaboration, a commitment to 863 projects, 973 projects to participate in two, domestic and foreign enterprises to develop new drugs more than 20 projects, with total funding of more than 65 million yuan contract. By the military and Technology Progress Award (No. 4), Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award (No. 1) and in 2009 by the military Teaching Achievement Award.
Professor Mei Xingguo taxol production in Taxus cell culture studies, cells were screened, biosynthetic pathways, metabolic regulation and achieved a major breakthrough, the research results reached the international advanced level. Microcarriers successfully established delivery systems, controlled release formulations, mucosal delivery system technology platform, breaking pilot scale industrial technology bottleneck to achieve laboratory research and industrial development closely together, forming the core competitiveness of innovative formulations.
