In response to the rapidly iterative nature of synthetic biology, we have adopted a highly agile and data-driven R&D and project management system. This system integrates agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, breaking down complex R&D projects into manageable, rapidly iterative short-cycle tasks (Sprints). Each project is supported by a cross-functional core team that conducts regular progress reviews, risk assessments, and strategic adjustments, ensuring projects can quickly respond to market changes and experimental outcomes. We leverage advanced project management software and automated experimental platforms to achieve standardization, visualization, and traceability of R&D processes, significantly enhancing the efficiency of experimental design, execution, and data analysis. Moreover, we emphasize the philosophy of "rapid prototyping and iterative optimization," encouraging teams to conduct concept validation at early stages. By taking small steps and embracing quick trials, we accelerate the innovation cycle, ensuring the precision and effectiveness of R&D resource allocation, and swiftly translating innovative achievements into practical applications.
BSAZ owns quite a number of advanced equipments as well as an equipment management system, represented by standard operation procedure. Rules and regulations are made about all equipments, instruments and measuring tools which will influence production quality characteristics. Degree of accuracy must be verified before using the equipments. Equipments should be placed appropriately and under protection before using again, and also be verified and calibrated regularly. Daily maintenance system is established and preventive equipment repairing plans are made to ensure accuracy and production capacity of equipments as well as continuous process capacity.
